Coastal Scents Fall Festival Eye Shadow Palette Review

Scrolling through Amazon beauty, I have always seen a lot of Coastal Scents cosmetics and brushes for a pretty good price, so naturally, I assumed that it was junk makeup and never gave them a second look. Through Pinterest, I found the Coastal Scents Pro Fluff brush which was supposed to be a dupe for the Mac 217 for only $5! Of course, you can’t stumble upon that kind of dupe and not check it out for yourself. While I added one of these brushes to my cart, I figured I’d take a look around at their cosmetics. I saw a lot of things that reminded me of BH Cosmetics, such as their contour and blush palette; however, there were a lot of different things as well. Those items are another blog post.
I came across some pre-made eye shadow palettes and a few caught my eye, especially the Fall Festival palette. There wasn't a single eye shadow from the bunch that I didn't find to be beautiful. The price was great at $12.95, so I added it to my cart but didn't have high expectations. When my palette arrived in the mail, I excitedly began to swatch each color in my friend’s office. I squealed like a little girl; they were more stunning than a computer screen could have conveyed and to my surprise, they were silky in texture. I can’t wait to purchase the other palettes! Enough raving, let’s get to the nitty gritty.

Price: $ 12.95

Packaging: Basic black palette with 12 spots for the average sized eye-shadow pot. The case itself is magnetic, so the eye shadows stay put. If you finish up the eye shadows in this palette, you can reuse the packaging and add more shadow pots. (MAC shadows will NOT stay in this palette) The front of the package says dons the company's name and palette title in plain white lettering. There is also a fairly large mirror, which I like to use when I need a close up.

Pigmentation: The pigmentation is incredible! Every color I touched, except the matte nude (although, also opaque), yielded tons of pigment. You can create a bold look without even trying.

Consistency: Silky and surprisingly blendable.

Wear-ability: Every shadow is shimmery and bold, except the matte nude, so if that’s not your thing then you’ll dislike this palette. If you pair these shades with some matte shades in your crease, then you've got yourself unlimited fall looks.

Extras: If this palette came in matte shades, they could easily sell this for $10 more.

Worth it?: If you want beautiful fall shades and don’t mind shimmer, then absolutely. This was my first Coastal Scents palette and won’t be my last.

The colors in order from left to right, starting from the top row are as such:
Chamois Nude – Bright Copper – Dark Golden Olive – Light Apricot – Kiwi Green – Deep Cantaloupe (my favorite)– Regalia Purple – American Rose – Cherry Chocolate – Raisin Berry – New Penny – Gun Metal
